Lockdown and pandemic have changed the world and our habits but they allow us to rediscover a dimension almost forgotten by the frenzy of everyday life: the traditions of our own community.
THE IDEA
The project is focused on bread’s cultural heritage and on the simplest of ingredients appreciated by young and old: flour and water. Thus the idea of creating a special project “Breads from Creative Cities - Local Traditional Bakers” in which the ambassadors are bakers, farmers and millers from all over the world! They will show, through stories, images, video recipes, how to recreate the local “homemade” bread in the families houses.
HOW IT WORKS?
The Project is open to all the organizations (Creative Cities, communities, local entities) and knowledge keepers (local bakers, farmers, millers) interested in showing and telling the traditional breads from their territories! The project, at local level, could be developed in your own language!
All the participants can upload their traditional breads on the Creative Knowledge Foundation customized instance on TRusT™ Platform. Also, Creative Knowledge Foundation
will use its official FB pages and websites to promote and communicate the initiative; all the participants will use their social channels to invite their followers to view their traditional recipes.

Panettieri d’italia
The first territorial project of Breads from Creative Cities – Local Traditional Bakers, started the first week of April in Italy, with the coordination of Fabriano Creative City. The project was recognized among initiatives in response to the Covid-19 pandemic, a call that the UNESCO Creative Cities Network Secretariat has launched to highlight the mobilization of the cities’ cultural and creative capital in addressing COVID-19 through various aspects such as education, sciences and technology, social inclusion, assistance to professional and artists as well as the disadvantaged groups.
